We managed to post an official 7DFPS release of our game “Splat Arena” 49 seconds before the deadline. The game is far from being complete, but it should be playable.
What we have right now:
Basic gameplay rules.
Basic “toon” shading.
A decent animated character.
An Arena with powerups, spikes, spawn points and all the stuff
What we had to remove:
Triceratops riders, sadly
Sounds
Advenced tricks and map objects, like mirror and prisms
Lightmaps
More powerups
We are super happy with what we achieved in the . It was great, it was fun and it was definitely worth it.
7DFPS was incredibly fun, and we had the canche to experiment new tech and art solutions.
We would love to improve the game further, so let us know if you enjoy playing Splat Arena comments and suggestions are super welcome!

We are a “litte bit” late on our schedule, but considering it’s the third day we are actually working on the project (we started on monday) we are pretty happy about the results.
Networking is starting to perform properly with physics enabled, and the firt version of our cartoon shaders are in place.
The Mustache Wizard is almost animation complete, but as you can see the map is still placehoder.
Tomorrow we will work on game rules (they are pretty simple) and on the map. Hopefully we will also be ready to release a playable build.
Here is a concept art we did to explore the initial game idea.
